Privacy policy
How we handle personal data when you visit this website or send us an enquiry. The revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) applies.
Data controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with this website is:
- PX Facility Services GmbH, Gribweg 16, 9475 Sevelen SG, Switzerland
- Email: info@pxfacilityservices.ch
- Phone: +41 79 930 63 50
This policy follows the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG), in force since 1 September 2023. Where the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to visitors from the EU and EEA, the information below applies to those processing activities accordingly.
Visiting the website and server logs
When you access this website, our hosting provider's systems automatically record technical information transmitted by your browser. This is technically necessary in order to operate a website. The following in particular is logged:
- the IP address of the requesting device
- the date and time of access
- the resource requested (page, image, file) and the HTTP status code
- the browser and operating system identifier submitted (user agent) and, where applicable, the referring page
The purpose of this processing is the technically correct operation, stability and security of the website, in particular detecting and preventing misuse and attacks. We do not combine these log entries with other data sources and do not build usage profiles from them.
Log data is retained by the hosting provider for a short period and, as a rule, deleted automatically within a few weeks. It is kept longer only where a specific security incident has to be investigated or a legal obligation requires it.
Enquiry and quote form
The enquiry form lets you describe your request to us. Only the entries you make in the form are submitted:
- the service or services selected
- the type of customer you are enquiring as
- the type of property or situation
- town or postcode
- preferred timeframe
- name or company
- email address
- phone number (optional)
- your free-text message
- your consent given via the confirmation checkbox
These entries are not stored in a website database. They are sent to our business mailbox as an email over an authenticated, TLS-encrypted SMTP connection. The legal basis is the consent you give when submitting the form, together with our interest in handling your request.
We use these details solely to assess your enquiry, ask any follow-up questions and send you a quotation or reply. They are not passed on for advertising purposes.
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are generally deleted after twelve months. If the enquiry does lead to an engagement, we retain the related correspondence in line with statutory retention obligations; in Switzerland this period is ten years for business records.
Protection against automated submissions
The form contains an additional field that is invisible to you (a honeypot). If this field is filled in, we treat the submission as automated and discard it. No third-party service is involved in that part of the protection.
In addition we use Google reCAPTCHA v2 to protect the form against large scale abuse. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Important for you: reCAPTCHA is not loaded when you simply open a page. The script is fetched only once you actually type or click inside a form. If you only read the website, reCAPTCHA does not record you and sets no cookies from it. The Google Ads conversion measurement is described in its own section below.
Once reCAPTCHA loads, your browser transmits information to Google, in particular your IP address, details about your browser and device, and interaction data such as mouse and keyboard movement on this page. Google sets cookies and comparable identifiers in order to distinguish human from automated use. This data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. For that transfer Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is our overriding interest in protecting the form against automated abuse and, where applicable, your consent through using the form. If you prefer not to use reCAPTCHA, you can reach us equally well by phone on +41 79 930 63 50 or by email at info@pxfacilityservices.ch.
Details are set out in Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Google tag, consent and cookie notice
This website includes the Google tag (gtag.js). Two services run through this single script: Google Analytics 4 for statistics and Google Ads for advertising measurement. The provider of both services is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Both services are described in the following sections.
On your first visit we ask you, in a notice at the bottom of the page, whether statistics and advertising measurement may take place. Until then the Google tag is set to denied through Google's consent mode (Consent Mode v2) and sets no cookies. If you choose Agree, you enable both categories: statistics (Google Analytics) and marketing (Google Ads). If you choose Necessary only, it stays denied. The legal basis for statistics and advertising measurement with cookies is therefore your consent.
The Google tag is loaded even without your consent. In that case it only sends cookieless, non-personal signals to Google, for example that a page or the thank-you page after an enquiry was opened. No cookies are set, no identifiers are stored, and advert click data is transmitted in truncated form only (data redaction). Google uses these signals only to estimate enquiry numbers in aggregated form. The legal basis for this is our overriding interest in measuring the success of our adverts in a data-minimising way.
We do not store your decision on our server, only locally in your browser. You can change it at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our website is used, for example which pages are opened, how long a visit lasts and through which route visitors find us. This evaluation helps us improve the content and structure of the website.
After your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies, in particular the _ga cookie, which recognises your browser across several visits by means of a random identifier. Your browser then transmits information to Google, in particular your IP address, details about your browser, device and approximate location, the pages opened and the source of the visit. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses; the IP address is used only for a rough location lookup and then discarded. The data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. For that transfer Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your entries in forms, meaning name, email address, phone number and message text, are not transmitted to Google Analytics. Google retains the statistics data for 14 months and then deletes it automatically.
Besides the notice at the bottom of the page, you can also prevent collection with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Details are set out in Google's Privacy Policy and in Google's notes on safeguarding data in Google Analytics.
Google Ads conversion measurement and call tracking
We run adverts on Google Ads. So that we can see which advert led to an enquiry or a phone call, we use Google Ads conversion measurement through the Google tag described above.
Enquiries through the form: only the completion is measured, namely the opening of the thank-you page after a successfully submitted form. Your entries themselves, meaning name, email address, phone number and message text, are not transmitted to Google.
Calls through the website: if you reach our website through a Google advert, Google may temporarily replace the phone number shown on the website with a Google forwarding number. If you call that number, Google forwards the call to our number +41 79 930 63 50 and records that a call took place, together with its start, duration and the area code of the calling number. Google does not record the content of the conversation. In Google Ads we only see which advert or campaign led to how many calls, not your full phone number. If you visit without clicking an advert, our regular phone number remains. You can always call us directly on +41 79 930 63 50; that call is not recorded.
After your consent, Google Ads sets cookies and comparable identifiers in order to match an advert click with a later enquiry or call. Your browser then transmits information to Google, in particular your IP address, details about your browser and device, and the page you opened. This data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. For that transfer Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Without your consent the measurement runs cookieless and in aggregated form only, as described in the section on the Google tag.
Personalised advertising can additionally be switched off in your Google ad settings. Details are set out in Google's Privacy Policy and in its advertising notice.
No further services, no profiling
Beyond the Google services described above, this website is deliberately kept lean. We use no further tools that evaluate your behaviour or recognise you across websites. Specifically:
- no statistics services other than Google Analytics 4
- no advertising networks other than the Google Ads conversion measurement
- no social media plugins and no embedded social network content
- no external fonts loaded at runtime; the fonts used are delivered with the website itself
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own for analytics or reach measurement. Cookies can arise in four cases:
- Google Analytics 4 (statistics category), but only after you have agreed. These cookies recognise your browser across several visits. Details are set out in the section on Google Analytics 4.
- Google Ads (marketing category), but only after you have agreed. These cookies match an advert click with a later enquiry or call. Details are set out in the section on conversion measurement.
- Google reCAPTCHA, as soon as you fill in a form. These cookies serve solely to distinguish human from automated use. Details are set out in the section on protection against automated submissions.
- A strictly necessary session cookie in a password protected preview, should one be provided for client review. It only records that you have signed in and is deleted when you close your browser.
On your first visit we ask you, in a notice at the bottom of the page, whether statistics and advertising measurement may take place. No cookies are set for it beforehand. If you decline, it stays that way and the website works exactly as before. We point out reCAPTCHA directly at the form, because it is only loaded there.
Recipients and processors
We disclose personal data only where this is necessary to operate the website and handle your enquiry. The following act as processors:
- our hosting provider, which delivers the website and maintains the server logs
- our email provider, through which the form message is delivered and the business mailbox is operated
- Google Ireland Limited for operating reCAPTCHA, as soon as you fill in a form, for Google Analytics 4 and for the Google Ads conversion measurement and call tracking
These service providers are contractually obliged to process the data solely in order to provide their respective service and in accordance with our instructions. Any further disclosure to third parties takes place only with your consent or where we are required to do so by law or by a public authority. Where partner businesses are involved in carrying out an engagement, they receive only the information needed for that purpose.
Data security
The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS / HTTPS). Form data is likewise transmitted to our mailbox over an authenticated, TLS-secured SMTP connection. We also take appropriate organisational measures, in particular restricted access to the business mailbox. Complete security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed according to the current state of the art.
Your rights
Under the revDSG you have, in particular, the following rights regarding the personal data we process:
- information about whether and which data we process about you
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- deletion or destruction of data, provided no retention obligation prevents this
- objection to a processing activity and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future
- release or transfer of your data in a common electronic format, where the statutory conditions are met
To exercise these rights, a message to info@pxfacilityservices.ch or a letter to the address given above is sufficient. To protect your data we may ask for suitable proof of identity. There is no charge for handling your request.
Right to complain
If you believe that our processing of your data breaches data protection law, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. We would ask you to contact us directly first. Most concerns can be resolved quickly that way. Individuals in the EU and EEA additionally retain the right to lodge a complaint with their competent national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may adapt this privacy policy if our website, our processes or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies in each case.
